MEMORABLE MOMENTS

QUOTABLE QUOTES

  • Esposito riffing his way through an interrogation.
  • Beckett giving Castle grief over the name of his imaginary lover.

JUST THE FACTS

  • Some of the musical cues, including the title card music, are performed a cappella.
  • In the scene where Esposito is chasing a suspect down the stairs of the concert hall, a poster for Holy Shemp is mounted on the wall of the landing. Holy Shemp is the band featured in the season 5 episode "Swan Song".
  • In the same scene, there's also a poster for a movie called Wrapped Up In Death, written by Alexi Hawley and directed by Bill Roe. Alexi Hawley wrote and Bill Roe directed season 2's episode "Wrapped up in Death".
  • Castle and Alexis find the owner of the Hermes scarf by hacking Chloe Jarvis's Snappamatic account. Snappamatic was the killer's preferred way to broadcast his murders in "Meme is Murder" in season 7.
  • Martha introduces the song at the beginning as "a classic love song from back in the day"; the song is "The Things We Do For Love", which was a hit single by 10cc in 1976. That might be "back in the day" for the young a cappella singers, but hardly "classic" for someone of Martha's age.
