MEMORABLE MOMENTS

QUOTABLE QUOTES

  • Ryan and Esposito's "manniversary".
  • Rick Rodgers, age 11, unknowingly starting his career as a writer.
  • Beckett's response to getting blindsided at her "review".
  • MARTHA: I love both my son's...big heads equally.
  • CASTLE (to Alexis): One day you will look back and you will realize that every experience you’ve ever had, every seeming mistake or blind alley, was actually a straight line to who you were meant to be.
  • CASTLE: I'm driven to figure out the story because I could never figure out that one.
JUST THE FACTS

  • Ryan looks into police reports in the area of Hollander's Woods for February 1983, which is presumably around the time young Rick found the body missing and (anonymously) reported it. If Castle was born April 1, 1969, as canon suggests, he'd be 12 years old, almost 13, at the time he found the body. Still, memory can be unreliable, even for a best-selling novelist!
  • Alexis says that her dad had published his first book by the time he was her age, which for a junior in college would be about 21 or 22.
  • This episode marks the first time Castle has killed anyone. (Everyone except Castle thought he'd killed Jerry Tyson in 5x05, and we know how that turned out.)
OOPS
  • Some liberties were taken with actual New York state law, which restricts the use of license plate information to search for the name and address of the owner of the vehicle. Emma would have had to get a judge to issue a subpoena for the list she was working on.
