  • Sarah Jane Morris - LESLIE MORGAN
  • Taylor Kinney - DARREN THOMAS
  • Jason Thompson - NOAH CURTIS
  • Meghan Markle - CHARLOTTE BOYD
  • "Sad Clown" - THE DROGE & SUMMERS BLEND (Placement)
  • "As you wish" is a repeated (and often quoted line) from the 1987 fairy tale movie The Princess Bride, starring Carey Elwes and Robin Wright.
  • Chucky is a killer doll in the movie Child's Play and its sequels. Many people, after seeing this film, cannot look at another doll.
  • Into the Woods is a musical by Stephen Sondheim, based on the Grimm versions of the fairy tales.
  • I Know What You Did Last Summer is a horror film with Sarah Michelle Gellar, based on an S.E. Hinton book about four teenagers who accidentally kill a man on the road and make a pact never to talk about it. Needless to say, that doesn't go so well.

  • Beckett eats.... but we don't know what.
  • Ryan's POV on the dolls in the old lady's apartment.
  • Martha's play.
  • How much Beckett enjoyed the play.
  • Holding hands in support.

Dustjackets: A Castle Wiki
  • CASTLE: I wrote 20 bestsellers in this office, and I'd like to write another...Now.
  • CASTLE: First Alexis is interning with Lanie, now my mother is taking over my office. I feel like my whole life is being invaded.
BECKETT: You'll get used to it. I did.
  • CASTLE: Sweetie, couldn't you have done something about this?
ALEXIS: I tried, but she made me stage manager.
  • BECKETT: Okay, so you don't like it when someone writes their own version of your life? Interesting.
  • CASTLE: Well, at least there's a happy ending.
BECKETT: It won't be a happy ending till evil is vanquished and locked in the dungeon.
  • BECKETT: What, you're Prince Charming now?
    CASTLE: If the shoe fits...
  • CASTLE: You get cute when you're angry (off Beckett's look) ...but not when you get angry with me.
  • CASTLE: Well, secrets are like time bombs.
    BECKETT: Eventually they...explode.
  • CASTLE: Psychopaths or actors?
BECKETT: I was thinking of your mom.
CASTLE: Oh, so a little of both?
  • BECKETT: Don't worry, I've got a gun. I'll protect you from the big bad wolf.
CASTLE: You'd use a gun on my mother? I'm touched. Thank you.
  • MARTHA: Well, if I was a hostage, my son was my keeper.
    CASTLE: I'm right here.
  • MARTHA: Now, if Richard had only been able to embrace the role of son with the same level of commitment.
CASTLE: And into the woods we go.
Go here to discuss the spec
  • Castle says he wrote 20 bestsellers in that study. Considering he's written more books than that, and he used to write more than one book a year, that means he probably moved into the loft when Alexis was about six years old. At the very least, it's unlikely he ever lived there with Meredith.
  • Ryan is petrified of dolls after seeing Child's Play.
  • He also has an older sister who used to read him Little Red Riding Hood.
  • Beckett likes The Brothers Grimm's version of fairy tales because they don't sugar coat the horrors of the tales. She thinks that fairy tales are actually gruesome (she's not wrong).
  • Pretty much nothing from Martha's play is factual. Just sayin'.
  • Officer Velasquez hands Beckett a piece of paper in passing. Beckett doesn't seem very pleased about what it says, but we never find out what that is.
  • Meghan Markle, who plays "Sleeping Beauty" in this episode, married HRH Prince Harry of Great Britain on May 19, 2018.
  • They stopped to take crime scene photos of Sleeping Beauty before the ambulance got there?
  • Since Castle was a single father with a daughter, he probably tied quite a few bows in his time, and Martha should know that.
