  • CASTLE: Tell me you need me.
    BECKETT: Excuse me?
  • ALEXIS: You don't understand. They're all I've got. Do you hear me? They're all I've got.
BECKETT: Alexis, listen to me. I promise they are going to be okay.
    ALEXIS: They better.
  • MARTHA: You are a hostage. Behave accordingly.
  • CASTLE: I love you, mother.
    MARTHA: Right back at'cha, kiddo.
  • TRAPPER JOHN: Your girlfriend is a hellcat.
    CASTLE: She's not my girlfriend.
TRAPPER JOHN: Too much woman for ya?
  • CASTLE: Mother, I find I'm no longer happy with the customer service at this establishment. I think we should take our business elsewhere.
  • MARTHA: He's not the only one here, you know...
  • CASTLE: Even as a hostage, I help you solve murders. Beckett, I think - I think you have the perfect partner.
BECKETT: Yeah, except he doesn't like doing paperwork.
    CASTLE: Touché .
Go here to discuss the spec
  • Kate has saved Castle 8 times. Castle has saved Kate 9 times. (See here for our guess which ones he's counting.)
  • Castle and Beckett both apparently know Morse code.
  • Martha played Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream in Central Park's Shakespeare in the Park season back in the 80s.
  • Alexis finally gives up on Ashley and the long-distance not-romance they've been not having.
  • Esposito has friends in ESU (Emergency Service Unit) and from what Beckett asks him about prior scenarios, Esposito possibly worked with ESU before the 54th (where he was an officer/detective) and the 12th.
  • On the funeral programme Castle is looking at when they talk to the priest, it's spelled 'preist'.
  • When Beckett enters the bank posing as a paramedic, her hands are bare. When she helps Sal Martino onto the gurney, she has a blue latex glove on her right hand. (She may have put it on sometime during her exchange with Castle, though we never see her explicitly do it.) After she exits the bank and hands the gurney Sal is on over to the real paramedics, she's wearing latex gloves on both hands.
