  • LANIE: Please. The guy was sliced in two. I’d say his unit is the least of his problems.
CASTLE: Then you do not understand the sacred bond between a man and his unit.
  • CASTLE: Sword … that is so Game of Thrones.
  • CASTLE: Our killer is a superhero!
  • BECKETT: Oh, that's okay. I won't be reading it.
MIKE: Really? I saw your name on the list. You pre-ordered a copy.
    CASTLE: Did she now?
BECKETT: I was just being supportive.
  • RYAN: I mean, haven’t you ever wanted to be a superhero? Going out there, prowling the city, knocking some heads?
    ESPOSITO: I do that now.
  • CASTLE: The student has become the master. Or at least, he tried. Actually, for a truly Castle-esque theory, it has to be fully thought through.
    BECKETT: Since when?
  • BECKETT: Yoga, Castle. I was doing...yoga.
  • CASTLE: A writer and his muse, fighting crime. Just like us.
Go here to discuss the spec
  • Castle once asked Martha to make him an ET costume for Halloween and she told him she didn't know how to sew. According to her, he was 32 at the time.
  • Martha is making costumes for her Shakespeare class.
  • For the first time ever, Beckett calls Esposito 'Espo'. It's finally canon, folks!
  • Beckett bought her first comic at age 14, from Comicadia. It was Frank Miller's Sin City: Dame to Kill For. The character she'd most want to be, however, is Elektra, for the badass ninja skills.
  • Castle has an extremely impressive comic collection, including a first edition Avengers. He'd like to be Bruce Wayne because he's got the coolest toys (which links nicely back to Beckett saying that entering the loft for the first time made her feel like 'Alfred in the Bat cave' in 1x05).
  • Ashley is an economics major. Alexis is not.
  • Hastings' surgical scar is actually real.
  • Castle's Derrick Storm graphic novel is on sale.
  • Unless it was a really crappy katana, there's no way the tip should break off.
