    MARTHA: That one?
    CASTLE: No, not that one.
  • CASTLE: He's a writer, how much trouble can he be?
  • RYAN: Assault on a city employee, parking enforcement.
    CASTLE: Doesn't count.
    RYAN: Dude.
  • CASTLE: What kind of accent - Spanish, Asian, Russian?
BRIDGET: Do I look like I work at the UN? Not Brooklyn. Okay?

  • CASTLE: Yes, fine, it's true. I'm jealous. There, I said it. I want you all to myself.
  • ESPOSITO: So, a dude can be a muse, right, bro? I mean, it's not weird or anything, is it?
    CASTLE: That's a little weird.
    BECKETT: Yeah.
  • CASTLE: Thank you.
    BECKETT: Always.
Go here to discuss the spec
  • Captain Montgomery has three children: two girls and a boy.
  • Castle is 'mentoring' a young writer named Alex Conrad - really all he did was give Conrad a few notes and send the book to his publisher.
  • Castle's first apartment was very run down - they used to have cockroach races.
  • The body outline notepad that Beckett uses in this episode was a present to Stana from a fan.
  • At the end of the episode, when Ryan and Esposito are taking Conrad to Rikers to visit the prison, Ryan says laughing, "then he said, they used to do this to me for talking." It can be assumed that he was talking about his experience with Hal Lockwood from 3x13, only it is weird that Ryan says "then he said," because it was Ryan who said it in the first place. It should be "and then I said."
