MEMORABLE MOMENTS

QUOTABLE QUOTES

  • Unfolding the body from the foldaway couch.
  • Castle being the good son to bereaved Martha.
  • Castle's squeak.
  • The psychic's daughter telling Beckett her vision about 'Alexander' and Beckett's stupefied response.
  • CODY: Is that your smokin' hot silhouette on the posters there?
    BECKETT: No.
  • LANIE: Stabbed in the back of the neck with an ice pick and then stuffed into the sofa.
CASTLE: So she didn't see that coming.
  • CASTLE: I'm not saying I can speak with the dead. I'm just willing to admit there are people in this world who are more sensitive than me.
BECKETT: Now that's not hard to believe.
CASTLE: Walked right into that one.
  • CASTLE: Surrounded by skeptics
ESPOSITO: It's called being a cop. bro.
  • CASTLE: She got everything right. you know, come to think of it, she told me that a beautiful woman would one day move into my loft and stay with me forever. She neglected to tell me she was my mother.
  • RYAN: The Casillas'ses...Casisses...they're waiting for you in the lounge.
  • CASTLE: Let me guess, you were one of those annoying six year olds who didn't believe in Santa because you figured out he couldn't ravel faster than the speed of light.
BECKETT: I was three, and we didn't have a chimney,
  • CASTLE: Oh, so you don't believe in fate, but your gut has magical properties. It's cool...Scully.
  • CASTLE: Okay, go on. Refute me.
BECKETT: Okay, how about this. Vivien is dialing her daughter's number, our killer comes in, stabs her in the neck, picks up the phone, drops it in to the sofa after her, and then puts the number into the letter along with the rest of the fake predictions. Refuted!
  • CASTLE: My given name is Richard Alexander Rodgers. What a coincidence?
JUST THE FACTS
Go here to discuss the spec
  • Beckett spent time as a cop answering clairvoyant tip lines.
  • Castle's birth name is Richard Alexander Rodgers, which he changed to Richard Edgar (as in Poe) Castle, because he thought it sounded better.
  • Martha's boyfriend Chet proposes at the beginning of the episode; she tells him she needs to think about it. After she decides not to accept the proposal she goes to return the ring, only to find that he has died of a stroke.
  • Chet's children were named Boomer and Lottie.
  • Castle states that Naked Heat comes out "tomorrow"; it's the second or third day of the case when he mentions it.
OOPS
  • In Real Life, Naked Heat came out on Tuesday, Sept. 28th, 2010 (also mentioned on WriteRCastle Twitter). This would match (give or take a day or two) the episode taking place approximately one week after 3x01 and the autumnal equinox. But the body was found on the 12th, presumably Monday, October 12th, putting the date about two weeks later.
  • When Castle is trying to get Beckett to call Masons, it is clear that Ryan and Esposito are sitting on the same side of the table. There is a shot when Esposito and Ryan are on either side of Beckett and Castle. After that shot, they go back to sitting on the same side of the table. There is no camera angle that would make that possible.
