MEMORABLE MOMENTS

QUOTABLE QUOTES

  • Beckett and Castle rescuing Shaw
  • Castle giving Beckett back her father's watch.
  • CASTLE: You know, your apartment is on fire. Now might not be the best time for modesty.
  • BECKETT: What’s missing from these pictures?
    CASTLE: Good taste.
    ESPOSITO: Area rug.
    RYAN: Decent lighting.
  • SHAW (profiling the serial killer):So we’ve drawn up a list of periodicals and magazines that he likely subscribes to.
CASTLE: I get half of these.
SHAW: Yes, and you also kill people for a living. In your books.
  • SHAW: Castle, what part of “un-ass” don’t you understand?
    CASTLE: All of it.
  • BECKETT: Castle has the attention span of a cocker spaniel.
  • SHAW: My husband tucks her in every night, tells her that mommy’s off slaying dragons.
  • BECKETT: Hell of a shot, Castle.
CASTLE: I was aiming for his head.
  • SHAW: In the end, Dunn did actually face Nikki Heat. She is, after all, part you, part Castle. He cares about you, Kate. You may not see it. You may not be ready to. But he does.
JUST THE FACTS
Go here to discuss the spec
  • Jordan Shaw has a young daughter.
  • Beckett goes to stay with Castle since her apartment has been destroyed.
  • Beckett's mom was an amazing cook who made brunch every Sunday.
  • This is the first time that Beckett lets Castle have a gun.
  • Martha decides to divide her time between Chet's and Castle's in order to maintain her air of mystery.
OOPS
  • On a procedural level, there's almost nothing this ep does right. Good thing it's otherwise fun.
  • And the one thing Beckett really does wrong is not simply shooting Dunn when he's got his back to her and is less than 20 feet away.
  • After Castle helps Beckett into his jacket because everything in her apartment is on fire, she's holding it closed when she turns around. In the next shot he's helping her from the tub and the jacket is buttoned.
